Flights to Spain have never been cheaper.

Make the most of cheap flights while they last. In 1968 I paid just over £36 for a "mid-week-night-tourist return" flight with BEA from London to Alicante. In today's money that would be £325.44. Today you can buy a return flight from Gatwick to Alicante for just £50,76*

40 years ago I had to go to the travel agent who arranged the flight for me. I had to hang around and wait while they found the flight, then book it, and then I had go back days later to collect the ticket. Today you don't have to go further than this page.

The following are links to just a few of the "on-line" brokers who offer a huge selection of flights, at amazingly cheap prices. It is always worth checking out the brokers and comparing them with the airline itself. Very often, booking through the broker is the cheaper option.

bullet point

Why use a flight broker?

Most of the available flights will be there for you to see and compare on one page. You don't have to go from site to site making notes as you go. Flight brokers are keen to get your business, so offer the best possible prices. They often share their commission with you.

bullet point

Which is the best flight broker?

This is the "piece of string" question. We all have our favourites, and in general no one broker is any better than another.

bullet point How can flight brokers be cheaper than the airline itself?

Flight brokers work on volume and are paid by the airline for their efforts. The airline want the same prices to be shown all over the internet, so the brokers quote the airline price, then offer part of their commission as a special discount.

bullet point Here are some brokers you can try:

Terminal A Flights - With a powerful flight booking system and search engine and because they share part of their commission from airlines with the customer, Terminal A claim to offer the lowest prices in the European market.

Opodo Fights - Opodo is an online travel service owned by nine of the world’s leading airlines offering flights worldwide from over 500 airlines (This link opens quite slowly!)

AVRO the tried and tested UK flight broker. Avro offers customers affordable flights to destinations worldwide from a wide range of the world's biggest airlines (Also quite slow to open, but worth the wait!)

Flight.co.uk offers scheduled, charter and low cost airlines in one easy search. According to their publicity no other site in the UK offers you such a wide choice of fares bookable online! And if that's not enough there are only 5 steps (compared to the average 7 steps) from search to book and no annoying advertising on the site anywhere
